Well you don’t eat it. These little fragranced pies (as they are sometimes called in the US) are designed for use in a tart burner. Tart burners are sometimes called Oil Burners in the UK and sometimes referred to as Pie Warmers in the US. They are made from ceramic pottery or glass and are always composed of an area for placing a tea light candle and a reservoir or dish to hold oil or a wax tart. The idea is that you place a wax tart in the dish and light a tea light candle below.
